Rui Oliveira is the founder of MyAzoresHome. The project combines academic training in tourism with hands-on industry experience, a real connection to the Azores and a clear focus on creating useful content, tools and partnerships for people who want to plan a better trip to the islands.

Background and experience

Tourism education

Academic training in Tourism at ESTG do IPVC, in Viana do Castelo, and in Tourism Business Management at INP Lisbon.

Hands-on experience

He worked as a tour guide on Terceira Island for 5 years and also gained experience connected to national tourism through Inatel.

Real connection to the Azores

Since 2018, he has been the owner and manager of local accommodations on Pico Island, giving him direct knowledge of travelers’ needs and of how tourism works in the archipelago.
