In love with Pico
How a guy from Terceira Island and a girl from France fell in love with Pico
Pico is an island that has its own atmosphere that leaves no one indifferent.
Rui is from Terceira Island and Aurélie is French.
we met each other in 1998 and we have been together ever since.
We both studied tourism and always dreamed of having our own project in this area.
Since visiting Pico for the first time, we fall in love with this island which, in addition to nature, the sea, and the mountain, offers the calm, peace, and tranquility that very few places in the world do, Pico has its own spirit and environment.
This uniqueness and authenticity were two of the reasons why we decided to invest in holiday houses here and not elsewhere.
In 2016 we started buying old houses with the aim of recovering and renting them.
In 2018 we opened the first house in Pico, Casa do Almance.
In the same year, we registered the brand My Azores Home.
In 2019 we opened the second house, Casinha de Nesquim.
Other houses are already projected for the future.
